Summary/Abstract: The October Revolution in Russia is undoubtedly one of the most significant events in recent world history, which is why it has been the subject of research by scholars around the world. It has been particularly studied by historiography in socialist Yugoslavia, which for the most part had its origins precisely in the October Revolution. Special attention has been paid to researching the participation of Yugoslavs in this "world historical" event. Along with numerous discussions, studies and articles, a collection of documents entitled Participation of Yugoslavs in the October Revolution and the Civil War in the USSR 1917–1921 was published in 1976, and a year later a collection of memories of Yugoslav participants in the October Revolution and the Civil War in Russia 1917–1921, under the title: Yugoslavs in the October Revolution. On the 90th anniversary of the Revolution, we have the opportunity to present to the professional and scientific public, as well as to the widest circle of readers, the original diary notes of Miloš Moskovljević, from the spot, from Petrograd, which represent part of the manuscript of his diary, which is kept in the Archives of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Delighted that he had the opportunity to witness such a significant event, Moskovljević wrote in his diary on September 9: "How much I regretted as a student, reading the Great French Revolution, that I was not a contemporary of those glorious days, and I never imagined that I would live and work in the midst of even greater events, that I would be a direct witness to the creation of a new world, on new principles. When the revolution broke out in March, I passionately wished to be part of it, and my wish was fulfilled. True, I was not present during those first glorious days of cheap success, the days of promise and the destruction of everything old, but I managed to follow and observe the development of the revolution at its most critical moment, at its apogee, which it would reach in just two days."
