Summary/Abstract: The book Le Management des Politiques de l'Union Européenne (The Management of European Union Policies), co-authored with the venerable Professor Michel Labori, Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, was published in Paris in 2011 and is available in numerous academic libraries Worldcat-KVK. The book offers new analyses and interpretations of the main internal and external policies and programs of the EU: competition policies, agriculture and rural development, regional development, energy and climate change, etc. The EU’s external policies are examined from both a Western academic perspective (Professor Labori’s), focused on Mediterranean neighborhood, climate diplomacy, regional policy, and from a Romanian academic perspective (Simion Costea’s), marked by interest in the EU’s enlargement and the Eastern Partnership, the geopolitics of neighboring ex-Soviet and ex-Yugoslav spaces, and concern for Romanian communities around Romania within the framework of European policies.
