Summary/Abstract: The publication titled Comments on "Shahinshah" refers to the formula which is the compo-sitional axis of the reportage itself. In addition to the extensive collection of documents of the work's genesis, the book also contains numerous visual material and elements of editorial analysis of the text. The work proposes a standardized transcription of Iranian names, surnames and proper names, which – together with the factual material – were assessed by an Iranian expert from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Jagiellonian University (Mateusz M. Kłagisz, phd). The collected materials may turn out to be compelling for non-professional readers, a stimulus for further research on reportage and an argument in discussions about the credibility of reportage, especially today when the term "Kapuściński lied" has become almost proverbial.
