Summary/Abstract: The viewer today is alone. Mass perception, so characteristic of the emergence of cinema, is no longer the main model of spectator reception. And although movie theaters still exist, the vast majority of audiences now watch separately, each in his own house and on an individual screen. Even "classic" television perception is no longer the most common pattern - people rarely get together, even within a home. This reality affects both society and cinema, which today should be seen more as part of a common "visual production", as classic cinema shares the digital screen with many other video products. This material will try to trace the main characteristics of the lone reception and its causes.
