Summary/Abstract: Looking around ourselves in the present day and going back in our thoughts to the previous decades, we can feel the differences in our lives. The leading change has been imposed by the information and communication technologies. The present scientific research is an attempt to present, on the one hand, the concept and usefulness of the “Smart City” and, on the other hand, to draw readers' attention to the immediate benefits of their applications through the best practices and examples.
