Summary/Abstract: "National security" and "documents and records falsification " are two all-encompassing syntax and at the same time with clear and indivisible links between them. This article intends to present an interpretation of the phrase "national security" by the size of some criminal acts that constitute threats against it and, at the same time, represent crimes committed by the use of the false documents, facts incriminated in the Criminal Code of Romania. The fight against these types of crimes is carried out both at national level, by adopting strategies designed to increase the degree of population’s confidence in the state institutions, but also at European level, by elaborating a series of regulations meant to increase the degree of document security. By documents falsification we thought in this article by a broader, all-encompassing acceptance, both from the point of view of the false on the acts themselves, the support and the security features found on them, as well as on the statements made by the handwriting, wrote on their pages.
