Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify specific difficulties in medical translation, namely the field of neuropsychiatry, and propose solutions, which are detailed and documented accordingly with examples from the source text. The paper also underlines the importance of the use of standardized specialised vocabulary for a correct mutual understanding of specific concepts. Furthermore, the purpose of this standardization is to facilitate the use of medical terms in the medical community, aspects which this investigation explores.
