Summary/Abstract: Sustainable development can only be achieved by increasing the role of education. Education provides basic skills and knowledge without which social and environmental issues cannot be overcome. Different social and economic reasons prevent young people from working or studying. The article presents an analysis of the issues related to early leaving of education and training systems. Early leaving out of education and training systems hinders integration into the labour market. This affects the participation of adults in learning, but also the subsequent continuation of studies in higher education. Thus, a situation regarding the graduation of tertiary studies is presented.
