Summary/Abstract: The main problems and the barriers which considerably impede communication with a suffering child and worried relatives in hospitals are analyzed in the article. Suggestions for optimization of oral communication are made with the purpose of a quick, easy and efficient diagnostics and treatment of an ill child, as well as soothing and encouragement of relatives by means of communication.
