Curatorial Practice as a Knowledge Production. The Pracownia Kuratorska’s Biopolis Project

Summary/Abstract: This article discusses a series of three artistic and research residencies, Biopolis, by Pracownia Kuratorska (the Curatorial Studio). It describes the assumptions of the residencies, working methods developed during the residencies, and how the results are made public. I particularly stress the importance of curatorial practices proposed by the collective, which, following Irit Rogoff, I propose to refer to as “curatorship”, and the related modes of knowledge production.
