Summary/Abstract: The author has substantiated the economic approach in the study of the relationship between business and human rights. The article reveals the objective conditions for the emergence of business interest in the observance of human rights, the nature of the contradiction between the interests of business and human rights and discloses the role of the state in mediating the interests of business and human rights. The author has proposed directions in the development of companies’ strategies in the aspect of human rights protection.
