Summary/Abstract: Based on the project of one of the directors of the Batthyaneum Library from the early twentieth century, Robertus Szentivány, on book covers bound in with fragments of medieval manuscripts, the article presents three label ex-libris found on them. One belonging to the two main holders of the books from the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia, Cardinal Cristoforo Migazzi, Archbishop of Vienna and Bishop of Vác and Count Ignác Batthyány, Bishop of Transylvania, founder of the institution named after him.The third is the very valuable ex-libris of another Viennese bishop, Johannes Fabri, active in the 16th century. To these are added some notes and indications of temporary affiliation, which after a thorough analysis could be considered ex-libris.For this category, the selection is made precisely because it either records the city of Alba Carolina / Alba Iulia, or names found in the comments of specialists in the field of books. These were discovered on materials kept for about 100 years in the treasury of the Batthyaneum Library, until their study began in 2016.Some of the observations related to the state of conservation were the subject of a first presentation in 2017, during the National Conference of the Romanian Librarians Association, as some of the aspects related to bibliology were presented at the National Conference of Bibliology in 2019. Others appeared during the general inventories, completed at the end of 2019, but not a few, even since then.
