Summary/Abstract: The article wishes to commemorate the “teacher of nations“, Jan Amos Komenský on celebrating in 2020, 350 years from the death and celebration in 2022 of the 430 years from his birth. Overviewing the cursus honorum of this European, we gathered information that lets us not forget his contribution to the development of pedagogy, linguistics, philosophy but also the fact that he was a humanist, political man; he was also concerned with natural sciences, and in fact, he created works as an instrument for instruction. Komenský considered the book “a gift from God for the mind of man“.
