Summary/Abstract: Technical education realised in distance form at primary and secondary schools is demanding and aims to develop students´ technical thinking, their creativity, practical skills and helps to acquire the technical perspective and competencies needed in making the right decisions when choosing secondary school, university, or for choosing the future profession. To achieve the required goals by students in today´s age full of electronics, computers and internet, for a modern teacher a verbal explanation connected with writing and drawing on a whiteboard which is scanned by a webcam is just not enough. A properly chosen teaching method and organisational form in connection with a suitable form of access to teaching materials can complement and at the same time increase the effectiveness of the teaching process. Such connection diversifies the educational process and motivates students. In this article we present the knowledge and experience gained from the use of modern technologies in the teaching of technical subjects during the pandemic of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The aim of this article is to evaluate technical education implemented in the form of distance learning based on the realisation of a short survey in the form of a questionnaire, and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of modern technologies used in technical education in distance form.
