Summary/Abstract: The paper is focused on research in the field of motivation and self-regulation of learning of primary school students in subjects with a technical focus. In the first stage of self-regulation of learning, we pay attention to student's relationship to technical education. We used the theory of self-determination by Richard M. Ryan and Edward L. Deci. Thus, we gained an overview of the nature of student motivation for this subject. We consider the most important finding to be the positive motivation of students for technical education.
