Summary/Abstract: Today, citizenship is the subject of many political manifestos, but is rarely seen as an attribute of a civilized lifestyle. Civilized citizenship is, on the one hand, the state of restraint of the drives, the civility, on the other – a form of social life open to dialogue and diversity. It is part of Europe’s cultural heritage. It also exists in entirely local contexts, in which the propagators of citizenship try to organise the local community life.
