Summary/Abstract: The subject of the presented article is an attempt to initially diagnose the sense of security and the level of trust of the respondents, adult residents of Koszalin in the situation of the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The aim of the study was to search for answers to questions about reliable sources of knowledge about the threat, about respecting (or not) socially severe restrictions, which are supposed to indicate trust / distrust towards state authorities informing / issuing / controlling recommendations, as well as about trust in the private sphere building a sense of personal security. The study was carried out using the method of a diagnostic survey on a purposively selected group of people (namely students of the Koszalin University of Technology and adults with higher education), by means of an online questionnaire. It contains basic information on the concepts of social trust and security. The results of the study were also reported.
