Summary/Abstract: “The Gherasimov Doctrine 2.0” represents a new concept who introduced for the first time theoretical justification for operations in military theaters. The foundation for implementing this theoretical concept was the “creation of a self-sufficient grouping of troops based on force elements of one of the branches of the Russian Armed Forces possessing high mobility and the capability to make the greatest contribution to executing assigned missions.” This strategy implied necessity to develop a new military planning database for 2021-2025, upon which the whole system of Russian defense documentation will be based, as a fundamental change.
