Summary/Abstract: The current study investigates the connection between thinking, language and propositional logic. Mathematical thinking as an essential component of mathematical competence forms an integral part of the problem-solving of everyday life. Mathematics is a tool of the human skillset for correct and accurate thinking. Logical thinking can be helpful in developing thinking, which is the basis for the ability to solve problems in a creative, non-standard and non-learned schemes way. Propositional logic as a mathematical discipline forms the basic apparatus for logical reasoning that fundamentally supports scientific thinking. Based on the theoretical analysis of literary sources we characterize thinking, language and propositional logic and give a holistic picture of the theme.
