Summary/Abstract: The article predents two inscriptions from Istros, where the name of a notable, ποντάρχης,ἀρχιερεύς and λογιστής, appears hammered (ISM I, 178−179). Among the honors (tasks)public information of this anonymous character, we drew special attention to the information aboutthe mission of caretaker of finances (λογιστής) of the fortress Istros.
