Finance innovation supporting by enterprices in European Union

Summary/Abstract: The author analyses the empirical research results of the surveys conducted in EU enterprises concerneiry innovation expenditures in 2006–2008. This analysis was conducted from a point of view of EU Member States as well as enterprise segments. Purchase of new or significantly improved machinery, equipment and software was the most common form of the innovative investment in case of the surveyed companies in 2006–2008. Purchase of domestic and foreign patents as well as inventions and know-how was significantly less common. The R+D activity, as important source of knowledge, were used on a relatively lower level.
