Occupational Therapy. ”Which Way to People”– Świętokrzyskie Villages

Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the actual aid for the elderly from villages in the Świętokrzyskie region offered by the San Giovani foundation, established among others for this reason, and the implementation of civic projects. The first part of the article i devoted to the peculiarities of living in a village in the Świętokrzyskie region, in particular of the elderly who often experience not only aging but also a sense of solitude. Initiatives such as organising meetings for the elderly lasting several days, therapeutic diagnosis, and occupational therapy preceded by training allow the people who frequently feel deserted and unneeded to find and experience the joy of creating and, above all, of being together with another human.
