Summary/Abstract: The article presents the significance of the Eucharist in the life of consecrated persons in the eschatological perspective. The Eucharist is the pledge of future glory and a foretaste of eternity within time. The Church finds there the source of all its hope. The consecrated life is an active sign of the future age and it is permeated with the perspective of eternity. The life totally devoted to God is the expectation of the Lord’s coming – this expectation is realized and intensified in the Eucharist. The vow of chastity of consecrated persons has a special significance in the point of view of the eschatological character of the Eucharist.
