Eucharist as Sacrifice According to the Writings of Saint Ursula Ledóchowska

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the issue of Eucharist as sacrifice according to the writings of Saint Ursula Ledóchowska. The Eucharist is a re-presentation and perpetuation of the sacrifice of Jesus, offered on the Cross. Mother Ledóchowska demonstrates that it is impossible to separate the mystery of the real presence of Christ under the species of bread and wine from His sacrifice. She encourages us to adopt the attitude of love for Jesus–the Host, the attitude of gratitude and adoration of Eucharistic Christ and to live the sacrificial and selfless love for the others. Saint Ursula points especially to the vocation of the consecrated persons, who dedicate themselves totally to God.
