Summary/Abstract: The article presents reminiscence of a parish priest from Wielun, Fr. Wincenty Przygodzki (1870-1947) from living in the Radogoszcz camp, near Lodz. In the pre-war period he was a politico-social activist greatly respected among local people. Thus it is not surprising, that he was arrested by the German occupier within the action against Polish Intelligentsia on 11 November, 1939. Initially the Radogoszcz camp was located in the buildings of former Michael Glazer factory, and from January in 1940 it was moved to the buildings of Samuel Abbe factory. A significant part of reminiscence is a description of conditions in the camp, the lack of hot water, kitchen and proper number of toilets. The prisoners slept on uncarpeted floor, later covered with straw. The Germans were exceptionally brutal towards Polish priests and Jews, using sophisticated tortures and engaging them in the hardest work.
