Summary/Abstract: This article is a summary of the current security environment. From my point of view, the “hot core” of the current security environment refers to the energy, water, food and financial sources. Around these, due to the globalization phenomenon, different actors arise; they have a certain power potential, interests, missions and objectives; they operate and have a certain type of behavior generating a full of risks, threats and vulnerabilities environment where conflicts and crisis are real constants. The way these actors relate ant tray to impose their interests causes a certain type of security environment, either stable or unstable. As for the state actors, within the inter-state mechanisms and relations, they establish a certain type of behavior generated by the assumed security interests and supported by the real power potential they hold.
