Summary/Abstract: This article presents a collection of various parts of defensive weapons from the Thracian and Roman Age, which are stored in Dalgopol Museum of History. Most of them are accidental finds, without archaeological context, discovered by former collaborators of the museum, from various Thracian and Roman settlements and fortifications from the regions of Provadia and Dalgopol. Despite their small number and the fact that most of them are taken out of the context of their archaeological environment, they give us important information about the organized military affairs in our lands in Antiquity. Of greater interest from the Late Thracian (Lathene) Age (3rd–1st century BC) is an iron helmet with embossed wings of the goddess of victory Niкe, found in the area of Krivnia Village, Provadia Region, as well as parts of iron braided armour and a bronze element, helmet plate found at a Thracian burial at the foot of Mount Arkovna and its surroundings. They are from the so-called Celtic era – 3rd–2nd century BC – and give us important information about the presence of the Celtic in our lands. From the Roman Age (1st–4th century AD) is a small plate with scaly armour Lorica Hacamatha, found in the area of the Petrov Dol Village, Provadia Region – part of the equipment of the Roman legionaries used during the principle as well as four umbo shields, two iron and two bronze ones found in the area of Dalgopol. I hope that these small preserved parts of the defensive weapons will be of interest to professionals and readers and will give us a little more information about the organized military affairs in the area of Provadia and Dalgopol.
