THE MAXIMUM OF NATIONAL POWER OF A GROUP OF POLITICAL ENTITIES

Summary/Abstract: One of the aspects of quantitative methods in political science is the analysis of national power of a group of political entities. In Sułek’s model of national power there are three factors in the main formula (Gross Domestic Product (GDP), population size and the area of territory). The aim of this paper is to find such a distribution of shares of each of the factors among the countries of a certain group, that maximises the joint national power. The upper evaluation of the joint national power, in respect to the number of countries in the group, is also given.
