Summary/Abstract: Internet violence, known worldwide as cyber bullying, is a term for any communication activity with computer technology, which can be considered harmful, both for the individual and for the common good. This form of violence against children includes situations where a child is attacked by another child, teenager or group of children or an adult, via the Internet or a mobile phone. Due to the often insufficient media literacy, parents and students do not know enough about all the possible dangers that the Internet and social networks can cause. Precisely the aim of this paper is to point out how much ignorance of this problem can negatively affect the socialization and growth of children, but also affect the fact that children become victims of violence via the Internet. The focus of this paper is on parents and their knowledge of cyber bullying, as well as cybercrime, and its consequences.
