Summary/Abstract: In light of the European Council's decision to determine the general date for the start of membership negotiations, Serbia is at a historical turning point. After a moderately positive and ptimistic decision of Bundestag, Serbia has finally made a tangible step towards European Union. Since 1st July Croatia is a full member of the EU, and in this light, the question is whether erbia is next of the Western Balkan countries that could get the same status.
