Summary/Abstract: The present paper is intended to show that the science about the universe as a whole contains concepts and theoretical constructs of philosophical nature. The progress of our knowledge of the universe requires this aspect of philosophical analysis for the purpose of clarifying the identities of some basic concepts. One of these concepts is the singularity concept.
