Twenty years with the Gatherings in Biosemiotics

Summary/Abstract: Well, dear friends, this year marks our 20th year together and congratulations are due all around - not just for our sheer longevity, but for the fact that, together, old friends and new, we have been able to keep the original animating spirit of the inaugural 2001 Gatherings in Biosemiotics alive. Being, along with Kalevi Kull, one of the only two people fortunate enough to have been present at each of the prior two decades’ worth of Gatherings in person, I have been asked to update my 2012 Twelve Years with the Gatherings in Biosemiotics report to share a few observations of what has transpired in the eight years hence.
