Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the impact of selected macro social determinants for innovative cooperation between industrial enterprises and scientific and research units of Polish Academy of Sciences and universities in northwest Poland. Survey questionnaires were sent to all industrial enterprises in Lubuskie and West Pomeranian Voivodeships, which were mentioned in one of the online contact databases. Completed survey questionnaires were sent back by 1274 industrial enterprises, of which 576 showed the introduction of cooperation innovation. Determinants that affect innovation cooperation with PAS units and universities are divided into eleven groups: the size of business, the nature of ownership of a company, revenues in the last three years, the situation in the sector, the level of qualification of the staff concerned, the extent of sale, the distance from metropolitan market, sector, the distance from the supply network participants (competitor, supplier and recipient), relationships with other participants in the supply network and the level of technology used. As a result of the conducted studies, 25 statistically significant models were obtained, which were described in detail in the article.
