Summary/Abstract: After the foundation, right after the Great Union, of the three Romanian high schools and a little later of the Normal School, in Tîrgu Mureş came from other regions not only teachers, but also students. Some of them, together with the fragile „local forces”, tried to initiate a literary movement in the town, even though their connection with Tîrgu Mureş was a rather superficial one.The present study highlights some of these figures who passed through Tîrgu Mureş and were connnected to the cultural background of the town/county.
