Summary/Abstract: The present article consists of a brief presentation of three works by Paulinus of Aquileia and Sedulius Scotus, representing early medieval supplication poetry. The main theme of the poems is supplication prayer addressed to God in the face of various misfortunes related to natural disasters and other hazards threatening man. The article contributes to discovering the treasures of medieval poetry, its beauty and spiritual depth.
