Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to discuss the concept of a culture of error in teaching a foreign language, to present the components of that culture and to draw attention to the role of emotion regulation within this context. The article further focuses on the importance of teacher-student relationship and highlights the prominence of building conducive classroom climate. A number of practical techniques are presented which can be used to manage errors in a productive manner in the classroom. The article also presents terms such as “emotion” or “emotion regulation” and shows their relevance in teaching a foreign language. The author attempts to show the benefits of promoting a culture of error in the glottodidactic process.
