Regional Operational Programme “Warmia and Mazury 2007-2013” as a funding source for innovation in the region

Summary/Abstract: The increasing efficiency of the economy, improving the efficiency of enterprises and strengthening their market position is possible among others owing to innovation. A significant barrier to innovation is lack of financial resources and limited access to external financing sources. A good solution seems to be EU funds available under various programmes, including regional operational programmes. The aim of the study is to present the results of research carried out among companies that received funding of innovative projects from the RPO “Warmia and Mazury 2007-2013”. The study shows that some investments in innovation would not have been realized without the support offered by the RPO of “Warmia and Mazury” for the years 2007-2013 (31% of responses).
