Barriers and possibilities of agricultural properties leasing in leasholder opinions

Summary/Abstract: The objective of the present work is the presentation of opportunities and limitation in the functioning of leasehold. The research was conducted among 451 leaseholders of agricultural real estates. The leasehold allows farmer to increase their own farms (for 81.4% of them it was a reason of leasehold). The leasehold gives an opportunity to use agriculture land near their farms (40.6%) and also expand the fodder base for animals production (36.4%). Despite the facilities related to that form of State Treasury land holding, it is not free of some weaknesses. As the main barrier to leasehold the farmers indicated the insecurity of farming (95.1% of all leaseholders and 94.2% leaseholders from APA).
