Summary/Abstract: One of the institutions that Professor Olga Czerniawska contacted in her rich scientific life was the Jagiellonian University. Initially, these contacts were ad hoc and boiled down to meetings with JU employees on the occasion of andragogical conferences organised in various cities. With time, they took on a more profound and intense character. At that time, the Professor came to Krakow as a reviewer of doctoral dissertation (1999) and twice participated in andragogical events organised at the Jagiellonian University: a conference (2006) on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of establishing the Department of Adult Culture and Education and the 1st National Andragogical Congress (2009). At the first of these events, she delivered a valuable lecture introducing the participants to the approach to the theory of adult education by Duccio Demetrio – then little known in our country Italian theorist of adult education. In the second one (appearing in an expert discussion panel), she reviewed post-war andragogical research in our country and spoke out in favour of improving - in the future - their methodology by making a wider reference to the biographical method. It can be seen that even those few contacts of Professor Olga Czerniawska with the Jagiellonian University contributed a lot to Polish reflections on adult education.
