Summary/Abstract: Children’s beliefs regarding the structure of the Earth are rarely the subject of empirical analyses. Meanwhile, the research of 50 children aged 6 to 8 years old show have a rich offer on the subject of the interior of the Earth they have. In the article has shown a list of 6 mental models of the Earth’s internal structure, ordered from initials models, through synthetic to scientific. Children acquire their knowledge of what is happening in the Earth in a random way, and their knowledge contains information that can be heard from adults, with news contained in books and media messages. To establish mental models for the preparation of Leonard Euler’s mental experiment, author’s drawing test of choice and selection of children’s drawings.
