Outline of the History and Characteristics of the Book Collection of the Library of the Theological Seminary of the Archdiocese of Częstochowa and the Higher Theological Institute in Częstochowa

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the concise history of the Library of the TheologicalSeminary of the Archdiocese of Częstochowa and the Higher TheologicalInstitute in Częstochowa. The activity of the library is closely related tothese two institutions. The currently existing book collection was transportedfrom Cracow, where a seminary for the Diocese of Częstochowawas located until 1991. The books from the Theological Institute inCzęstochowa were attached to this collection. To this day, the library playsan extremely important role in the formation of future priests and lay studentsof theology.
