Summary/Abstract: More than twenty ceramic vessels of the Lusatian cemetery in Sovenice were originally a part of the archaeological collection of Josef Antonín Jíra, currently deposited in the City of Prague Museum. They were given to Jíra by Alois Ševčík, one of his most loyal archaeologist friends, in 1893–1894. Alois Ševčík acquired the vessels sometimes at the turn of 1800’s 80s and 90s with the highest probability. They probably relate directly to the discovery of the cemetery and the first local excavations in 1886–1888.
