Settlement of the Urnfield Period in the Clay Pit of the Brickyard at Kostelec nad Orlicí (district of Rychnov nad Kněžnou)

Summary/Abstract: The article informs about new finds in the clay pit of the brickyard at Kostelec nad Orlicí, Eastern Bohemia, where Vít Vokolek had excavated a rich Urnfield cemetery. By a recent rescue excavation in the new exploitation area, remains of a Late Lusatian Urnfield settlement were identified and documented – mostly post holes, settlement pits, some grooves of uncertain origin, and probably a well. The settlement could be contemporary with the mentioned cemetery.
