Summary/Abstract: Many films produced throughout the history of cinema, social conditions and capability of the director constitute a dramaturgical process. The most creative individual in the making of a film is the director. Auteurs are the professionals who make their own story, make connections with thematic nuances between their films, transfer their inner world in an original way and see cinematic elements as a different creation tool. New French Extermity or New Extremism movement, which arised in France in the 90s, is seen as a metamorphosis of the New Wave, has caught its own audience nowadays. The directors who are included in this movement, turn their cameras into the characters who are experiencing burnout and show social degeneration with the most extreme way. The aim of this study is examine the cinema language of Gaspar Noé who is one of the pioneers of New Extremism in cinema and describe his characteristic which is overlapping with the concept of auteur. In this context, Noé’s filmography was reviewed and analysis was made in the context of the auteur concept. As a result of this study, it was revealed that the New Extremism emerged thanks to the efforts of auteur directors and that Gaspar Noé is one of the directors representing the movement and directly can be associated to the concept of auteur director.
