Summary/Abstract: In today's ever-changing world, effective management of human resources is very important, but this is accompanied by different management philosophies and methods. One of these methods is psychological capital. Psychological capital has a positive effect on sustainable competitiveness. It is expected that the positive effects of psychological capital will reduce costs in an organization and reduce negative effects. This study, which is based on the measurement of the psychological capital of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality employees within the framework of reviewing the relevant literature and theory, aims to reveal the suitability of the data in the scales applied within the framework of the sub-dimensions of psychological capital to factor analysis. In this context, the data obtained from the questionnaire applied to 431 people working in Mersin Metropolitan Municipality was performed in the framework of the sub-dimensions of psychological capital. The reason for using the explanatory factor analysis is that a measurement tool is used to discover a specific study group sub-factor structure. As a result of the explanatory factor analysis, since the 4 dimensions of psychological capital explain 76.79% of the change in variance in total, the explanation rate of the factors was found to be sufficient and applying the confirmatory factor analysis concluded it. The findings of the research; one of the subdimensions of psychological capital, self-efficacy dimension is the most effective in determining the level of psychological capital, while the resilience dimension is least effective in determining the level of psychological capital.
