Summary/Abstract: A noun phrase (isim tamlaması) in Turkish can be a definite noun syntagm (belirtili isim tamlaması) and an indefinite noun syntagm (belirtisiz isim tamlaması). In the definite noun syntagm, the first noun gets the genitive suffix, and the second noun gets the possessive suffix for the third person singular and plural. Ex. çocuğun kitabı/книгата на детето. In the indefinite noun syntagm, only the second noun gets the possessive suffix for the third person singular or plural. Ex. çocuk kitabı/детска книга. This paper provides analysis of noun syntagms in Turkish language and their equivalence in Macedonian language.
