Summary/Abstract: The paper addresses one of the most delicate and current issues in the field of jurisprudence, namely, the correlation of the special investigation activity with the criminal investigation activity. The author highlights the essential similarities and differences between these two types of activity. Some legal provisions are also addressed, as well as some theoretical views that create confusion regarding the topic discussed.
