Summary/Abstract: The author presents several problems of linguistic reconstruction in the text of the Poema de Fernán González, and discusses solutions provided by critical editors to emphasize the special importance of the grammatical knowledge of medieval Spanish as the essential basis for the defense of linguistically acceptable proposals.
