Summary/Abstract: The proverbs occupy a central place in a writters creation which is representative of romanian realism, who’s source of inspiration is the geographic space and the transylvanian culture. Even if Ioan Slavici's style was often appreciated as an arid, unattractive one, a closer look of the style can bring to the surface unsuspectedly deep stylistic values.
