Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research reported in the article was to characterize the educational role played by Catholic websites, especially in relation to moral education. The research assumed that religiousness developing in the context of the faith of an individual, i.e., a set of attitudes towards God, oneself and other human beings, is conditioned by the understanding of the world, man and the content of Revelation derived from culture (including education). Moreover, it was assumed that educational functions are currently realized by the media, especially by websites, which provide people with knowledge on how to resolve bothering questions. Coming from these assumptions, a question was asked how the educational function is performed in the area of moral education by the Catholic Deon.pl website. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach, the method of individual cases, and the technique of an open, in-depth interview. The respondents referred to the following issues: what moral dilemmas they faced in their lives, which content was helpful in solving these dilemmas and to what extent the portal failed to fulfill this task. The research suggests that Deon.pl helped the respondents in facing moral dilemmas, especially when it was used at the initial stage of developing faith and exploring religion and morality, however in its current form, it ceased to fulfill this task at a later stage.
